Holy Bible says “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” (Proverbs 9:10 ). Education plays a vital role in the life of everyone. Getting proper education is very necessary. Our home is first education institute where we learn how to behave with others and learn other skills. However, school education is very necessary to be successful in practical life. Good education is constructive in nature which constructs our future forever. It helps a person to improve his/her status of mind, body and spirit. It provides us lots of confidence by giving us bulk of knowledge in many fields. It is a single and vital way to the success as well as personal growth. It is a continuous process which starts when we take birth and ends when our life ends.

Good character is more to be praised than outstanding talent. Most talents are, to some extent, a gift. Good character, by contrast is not given to us. We have to build it, piece by piece –by thought, choice, courage, and determination

We are incomplete without a good education because education makes us a right thinker and a correct decision maker. What education should impart and develop is not just knowledge but the character & culture that will make every child a good human being. This is highly significant in the context of global terrorism, which is surely a threat to humanity. Attitude of coexistence & peaceful living is the need of the hour and it is the education that gives the right opportunity to learn it. In today’s competitive world, education has become a necessity for human beings after food, clothes and shelter. It is able to provide solutions to all problems; it promotes good habits and awareness about corruption, terrorism, and other social issues among us. It makes us smart enough to learn how to live life and handle bad situations. But it is sad to say that our children are not equipped to face the tidings of life. Keeping this in mind we Franciscans have this year the theme “Courage to take lead……”. Let us be boosted with the words of great educationalist Late Dr. A P J. Abdul Kalam – “If you fail, never give up because F.A.I.L. means “First Attempt In Learning”. End is not the end, in fact E.N.D. means “Effort Never Dies”. If you get No as an answer, remember N.O. means “Next Opportunity”. So Let’s be positive.”
Dear Franciscans, spread your dream under the feet of the Lord. Let Him tread on it.
